Chemical grade

Chemicals and reagents play an important role in the preparation and analysis of chemical, pharmaceutical, industrial, biological, medical and healthcare products. The term quality in the world of chemicals refers to the purity of that substance as well as the impurities in the substance, and it specifies the applications for which the substance can be used.
For this purpose, in order to facilitate the use of chemicals in various industries, they have been classified into various grades of chemicals with specific characteristics and various qualities. Higher grade chemicals can also be used for lower sensitivity applications.

The table below summarizes the compatibility of different grades in order to facilitate the selection of our products. Each grade given in the left column can be used in the applications listed in the right column. For example, dried solvents can also be used as ACS, USP, Laboratory, Extra pure and Synthesis, but cannot necessarily be used for chromatography or UV Spectrophotometry studies.

Grades

01.

Dried grade

Most of the chemical reactions that take place in non-aqueous environments are also sensitive to the presence of very small amounts of water. Therefore, for analytical purposes or organic synthesis in a dry environment, solvents with very low water content should be used. Dry solvents are also used to determine the water content of chemicals by the Karl Fischer method and in modern inorganic and organic research methods. Novalpin Co offers Dried grade chemicals with very small amounts of water whose specifications are carefully controlled. In reactions that are sensitive to very low amounts of water, we recommend using chemicals in this category.
02.

Gradient chromatography grade

Solvents suitable for gradient liquid chromatography, in addition to very high transparency in the visible-ultraviolet range, should have very small amounts of water, acid, alkalinity and solid residue after evaporation. To achieve such precise specifications, we manufacture gradient liquid chromatography solvents using high-quality raw materials and advanced distillation equipment. Passing through a 0.2 micron filter is an essential process in the production of chromatographic solvents, which is performed just before the packaging process. These solvents are suitable for a variety of liquid chromatography techniques.
03.

Isocratic chromatography grade

Solvents of this category have gradient grade purity. Since the sensitivity of isocratic liquid chromatography method is less than that of gradient type, we offer special isocratic chromatography solvents that bring high resolution separation along with low operating costs..
04.

Spectroscopy grade

In spectrophotometric studies, obtaining reliable results is highly dependent on the use of ultrapure solvents in the sample preparation stage. Solvents suitable for this category must not only have high transparency in the visible and ultraviolet spectrum, but the presence of impurities such as water, alkali and acid must also be controlled at an extremely low level. Also, the amount of non-volatile residue after boiling should be very low. Novalpin Co Company has processed the solvents of this grade using very high quality raw materials, so that the specifications of the American Chemical Society for spectrophotometric studies are met.
05.

Gas chromatography grade

Solvents of this grade are used in gas chromatography studies. This feature is not only due to their high purity, but also due to the presence of small amounts of water, acid and alkali, as well as the absence of additional peaks in gas chromatography analyses. Our Gas Chromatography grade solvents are purified and supplied with precise specifications to meet the needs such as sample preparation and dissolution in Gas Chromatography studies.
06.

ACS grade

The American Chemical Society has determined technical specifications and purity for approximately 500 reactive chemicals and more than 500 standard reference materials, so that they are accepted by researchers and industrialists around the world. Novalpin Co offers a wide variety of chemicals, reagents and standard solutions conforming to ACS specifications to ensure reliable results even for ultra-sensitive tests.
07.

USP grade

The United States Pharmacopeia has defined specifications for chemicals that are used as raw materials in the pharmaceutical industry. Materials with USP grade have the necessary standards for use in the pharmaceutical and food industries and are used in world leading laboratories. Novalpin Co Company, by having GMP certificate, produces a wide range of chemicals with USP grade, which have been quality approved in a well-equipped laboratory according to USP test protocols.
08.

BP grade

BP grade products are in accordance with the standards set by the UK National Pharmacopoeia in terms of purity and absence of impurities. This pharmacopoeia is a set of quality standards for the production of medicinal substances that is published annually in the UK and is used by individuals and organizations involved in the testing, research, development and production of medicinal substances and compounds. Novalpin Co company, by benefiting from the GMP certificate, has recently started producing chemicals with BP grade, all of which have been quality approved based on BP standards and tests.
09.

EP grade

EP grade is defined as pharmaceutical grade according to the European Pharmacopoeia. This pharmacopoeia contains a series of official standards for pharmaceutical compounds available in Europe, which are used in the production stages of bulk pharmaceuticals, chemical and biological analysis methods, reagents and auxiliary substances of drugs. The standards of this grade are seriously applied in the preparation of raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients. Novalpin Co Company has recently started producing chemicals with EP grade.
010.

Laboratory grade

Laboratory grade materials are often used in laboratories and research and educational institutions. Although the purity of these materials is high, the exact amount of their impurity is not known. As a result, this category of materials is not recommended for pharmaceutical, food and medical applications. We manufacture a wide range of laboratory grade chemicals including acids, bases, salts and solvents to cover the sensitive needs of various laboratories. The specifications of laboratory chemicals are set in such a way that they can be used for different applications.
011.

Extra pure grade

Extra pure grade is related to products that are suitable for qualitative and semi-quantitative use. This category of chemicals is suitable for general laboratory work and in most cases they have pharmacopoeia standards such as BP and USP. In order to cover general applications in laboratories where low sensitivity and low operating costs are important, we offer a wide range of chemicals including acids, salts and solvents with this grade.
012.

Histology grade

Chemicals that are mostly used in clinical and pathobiology laboratories are produced under the title of histology grade. These products are tested according to international standards in order to best cover the needs of customers in medical diagnosis laboratories. In Novalpin Co company, all production steps of materials with this grade are carried out in accordance with ISO 13485 guidelines.
